Musketeer Monday: Alex Martinez
Mr. Alex Martinez serves as the Lead Security Guard at Reed Middle School, where he performs his duties with exceptional professionalism and dedication.
To better understand Mr. Martinez’s impact, Reed Middle School Principal Mr. Anthony Coggiano shared the following testimonial:
"I would like to take a moment to recognize Lead Security Guard Mr. Alex Martinez for his exceptional dedication and care in ensuring the safety of everyone who enters our school. As Reed’s Lead Security Guard, Mr. Martinez consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty, demonstrating a strong commitment not only to the safety of our students, staff, and visitors but also to their overall well-being.
"With a truly caring demeanor," Mr. Coggiano continued, "Mr. Martinez is always ready to assist, offering reassurance to those who need it while vigilantly maintaining a safe and secure environment. His ability to remain professional and composed in every situation makes him an indispensable part of our school community.

Mr. Martinez began his career in the Central Islip School District in 2007 as a Security Guard. His responsibilities at Reed Middle School include ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors, as well as managing a variety of issues on a daily basis.
A proud member of the Central Islip community, Mr. Martinez graduated from Central Islip High School in 1993. He has also served as a firefighter with the Central Islip Fire Department since 1993. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and relaxing by his pool.
When asked about the rewards of his work, Mr. Martinez shared: "What is most rewarding for me is helping kids get through the day. I also help keep kids on track to graduate."
Principal Coggiano concluded the Musketeer Monday recognition by saying: "Thank you, Mr. Alex, for your outstanding service and for being an essential part of our Reed School and CI Family."
