LJ Harriott Aces NYS Bar Exam, Earns Associate Role with Haynes Boone

Central Islip High School alumnus LJ Harriott (Class of 2016) recently passed the New York State Bar Exam and is now employed as a Finance Associate at Haynes and Boone, LLP, a corporate law firm in New York City.

Before joining the firm full-time, Harriott interned with Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney and later served as a Summer Associate at Haynes and Boone from May through July 2024. He then worked as a Law Clerk for eight months before officially passing the bar and earning his current position.

Harriott earned his law degree from St. John’s University after graduating from Brown University, where he was an All-Ivy League performer on the football team.

Remaining active in his hometown community, Harriott recently helped organize a Central Islip Football Alumni Camp and continues to volunteer as a member of the coaching staff under head coach Sean Christie.

The Central Islip School District would like to congratulate Mr. Harriott on his incredible achievement and for continuing to set an example for all students.
