Ms. Yvette Brideau’s Reed Middle School drama students were invited to perform at Senator Monica Martinez’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. The students delighted the audience with a performance of “The Family Madrigal” from Disney’s Encanto, showcasing their talent and celebrating Hispanic heritage through music and theater.
Reed’s Life Skills students took their learning out into the community with a visit to the Central Islip Public Library on Oct. 1.
Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr. met with Reed students in the Student Ambassador Program to share his own life experiences, encourage them to find the positive in challenging situations and let them know he is there as a resource.
